THE QUOTABLE QUOTE OF THE DAY
_ _ _
* * * * *
“Once a King in Narnia, always a King in Narnia. But don’t go trying to use the same route twice. Indeed, don’t try to get there at all. It’ll happen when you’re not looking for it. And don’t talk too much about it even among yourselves. And don’t mention it to anyone else unless you find that they’ve had adventures of the same sort themselves. What’s that? How will you know? Oh, you’ll know all right. Odd things, they say-even their looks-will let the secret out. Keep your eyes open…”
The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe
The Chronicles Of Narnia, in general, and The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe, in particular require no introduction. I’m certain that C.S. Lewis’ classic works have been an integral part of every bookworm’s childhood.
The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe, has the distinction of being the first novel that I ever read. I was just seven years of age at the time, and I’ve read it numerous times since, over the years. The above quote from The Professor, towards the end of the book, has always stayed with me.
I posted a review for the book back in 2014 which you can find here. But I’d be shocked if any visitor to this blog hasn’t already read the book themselves many times before.
Unforgettable quotes of fantasy and science fiction literature. The long and the brief; the funny and the serious; the whimsical and the dramatic.
